What is that? Just what it sounds like.
Someone pours piping hot maple syrup on a bed of snow. You imbed a stick on one side. Then you wait 45 seconds till it freezes, roll the frozen syrup on the stick and voila! A maple syrup lollipop or Tire Sur la Neige.
It seems to be a tradition peculiar to Quebec, at least I think so.
The taffy was a bit too sweet for my taste but the kids seemed to enjoy it, especially after a strenuous day on the slopes.
